About The Haiti Legacy Project
Empowering Dreams, One Student at a Time
Our Mission
Our mission is to remove physical and financial barriers to education for youth in Haiti. By providing nutritious daily meals to primary and secondary students and full post-secondary educational funding for aspiring leaders, we empower the next generation of doctors, engineers, accountants, nurses, and community changemakers to lift their communities from within.
Why Education & Nutrition Matter
In Haiti—where over 60% of the population survives on less than $3.25 a day—pursuing an education is an insurmountable obstacle for many families. Capable, driven young adults graduate high school with the talent and intellect to enter vital professions, yet lack the funds to attend university. At the same time, younger students frequently struggle to focus or remain in school due to severe food insecurity.
Food For Learning
We provide nutritious daily lunches for K-12 students. For many, this is the most substantial meal they receive all day. Proper nourishment directly correlates to improved attendance, sharper focus, and better academic outcomes.
The Scholars Program
Established in 2013, this program pairs sponsors directly with Haitian students seeking higher education. We cover tuition, books, and essential living expenses—opening doors to careers in medicine, law, accounting, nursing, and engineering.
Our Impact
Young adults who completed degree programs, including university-trained doctors.
Every dollar donated directly funds student tuition, learning materials, and school meals.
Nourishing K-12 students daily so they can stay healthy, stay in school, and dream big.
How We Work
We partner directly with trusted educators and community leaders in Haiti. Local leaders identify promising university candidates, evaluate economic need, and provide ongoing mentorship and academic monitoring. This close local involvement ensures accountability, personal care, and high success rates for every student in our program.
